This weekend, I'll be at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside for Baby Tattooville 2009 which I'm stoked to be part of. I'm looking forward to spending the weekend with some really amazing artists and collectors. The line up of artists include: James Gurney, Audrey Kawasaki, Travis Louie, Elizabeth McGrath, Miss Mandy, Buff Monster, Johnny KMNDZ Rodriguez, KRK Ryden, Philip Warner and Yoksay Yamamoto. There are only 4 more tickets available for this event. Here's the painting I did for it:

A Dancing Tibetan Ganesha | Lord Ganesha's Photos

In Tibet, Ganesha is placed above the entrance of Buddhist monasteries or painted on the doors, often holding a trident and identified with Shiva.

In Khotan, or Chinese Turkestan, Ganesha was painted on wooden panels and bronze tablets at Khaklik, the Endere stupa and the rock-cut temples of Bezaklik.
